Today, financial institutions are increasingly confronted with three major issues:
-
The ongoing evolution of complex regulations,
-
the expensive integration of their operations within financial systems,
-
the cumbersome monitoring of technological developments
The OCBF coordinates these institutions to work together to tackle these issues more effectively.
To
achieve its aim of facilitating dialogue between the management teams of its members, the organization regularly invites speakers from the
financial and regulatory communities to share their insights with its
members. Moreover, the OCBF organizes various events with prominent
figures in the financial world, such as the annually awaited congress
sponsored by one of the members.
To fulfil its role as an intermediary between local authorities and medium-sized financial institutions the OCBF has built strong relationships with the Banque de
France, the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel, the Autorité des marchés
financiers (AMF), the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des
libertés (CNIL), and other local authorities.
The
OCBF also has privileged relations with the Fédération bancaire
française (FBF), to which most of the members of the organization
adhere; the Association française de gestion financière (AFG); and the
Association française des sociétés financières (ASF), proposing
complementary services to these partners.
In addition, the OCBF offers its members numerous services to help them keep up to date with changes in regulations.
